Director Business Development (m/f/d)

Our client is the leading collaborative sustainability platform in the industry. By modeling the complex digital advertising supply chain, they help brands measure and drastically reduce digital waste, thereby lowering advertising-related CO2 emissions and enhancing the effectiveness of advertising investments.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and expand strategic relationships with major clients in the DACH region: agency clients, and advertisers
  • Actively drive business growth by establishing connections with the executive level and management of major advertising clients
  • Communicate the values of our media platform and its philosophy in alignment with our customers' needs
  • Take primary responsibility for participating in RFPs, including qualification and success strategies
  • Identify and implement strategic upselling opportunities, considering key customer requirements
  • Lead global discussions on specific accounts with colleagues in Europe, the US, and APAC
  • Work closely with product, solutions consulting, marketing, and revenue teams to continuously optimize company-wide goals
  • Collaborate with senior management, product, and engineering teams to align the product roadmap with customer needs
  • Establish sustainable and strong internal relationships between departments and specific functions
  • Represent the company at industry events and customer engagements, advocating for the company's mission and products

Your Profile

  • Excellent proficiency in both German and English
  • At least 5 years of experience in digital advertising sales and partnerships, with a proven track record of revenue growth
  • Deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and media agency business models, with an established network of high-level relationships with leading agencies
  • Experience and expertise in digital media planning, particularly in programmatic advertising
  • Strong analytical skills, both strategic and creative, with the ability to leverage these insights for business development
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills (including platform demos), capable of compellingly representing the company's value and inspiring stakeholders
  • Passion for selling innovative, early-stage products
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions, with a keen interest in global business dynamics and an affinity for regional and cultural nuances
  • Agility and openness to the challenges of scaling a new business, with a comfortable approach to risk, uncertainty, and ambiguity
  • Personal interest and alignment with the company's sustainability mission and corporate culture, contributing positively to team dynamics and organizational ethos
